Globalsat Technology was founded in May, 2000 with its head office and main factory located at the Far East Century Park at Taipei County in Taiwan.

The company was established by a group of professional and experienced managers and engineers. The vision is to bring the advanced wireless technology from UK Cambridge Park and US Silicon Valley to the global application industry through Taiwan's unique innovation technology.

To achieve this vision, Globalsat Technology set up the "Globalsat College" within the company as the foundation building of hi-tech research and management for the innovation technology. The Globalsat College has successfully led the company to a learning organization, which was initiated and highly recommended by Professor Peter Senge from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Globalsat's competitive advantages are the unique innovation technology and the strong execution capability. Globalsat has been focusing on the effort on GPS, Bluetooth and mobile wireless communication technology during the past few years.

As of this date, Globalsat has grown to the leading position as the designer, manufacturer and marketer in GPS, Bluetooth and mobile wireless communication products, and will continue the effort in the information and digital industry. For the excellence of sales achievement, Globalsat received the award of recognition from SiRF as a record growth through strategic partnership and excellence in design in 2003. Our product solutions and partnerships continually help to revolutionize the markets we serve.

One true creation of the world, SiRF Start II/III LP, has been highly functioned as a high accuracy positioning service, and with our manufacturing technology to make GPS capabilities accurate, affordable, power efficient and compact enough to be used in consumer applications. From the starting beginnings of Bluetooth, with the enormous development and participation in innovation solutions within this industry, Globalsat has contributed greatly to the evolution of this technology.

In year 2004, Globalsat received a certification in recognization of GTC as the associate member of the Bluetooth SIG as a Special Interest Group. As it dedicates the acknowledgement of "Globalsat Technology Coporation is an Associate Member and has agreed to the Membership Agreements of the Bluetooth SIG".
